It is time to say good-bye to 2020. Since becoming parents my husband and I celebrate the New Year very differently. We throw a kids New Years Eve Party for our little ones & party until we can’t anymore.
The past few years since has been such a fun way to celebrate. We don’t throw anything big, just our kids and us. It is absolutely perfect. The night is full of fun activities and lots of food.
Many more will be celebrating with just their households this year so I thought I would share how we throw our Kids New Years Eve Party!

How To Throw a Kids New Years Eve Party
Decorate Your Kids New Years Eve Party
The first step is to decorate your kids New Years Eve party! I like to keep the decorations affordable. Your local dollar stores are a great place to start. You can also checkout other places like; Party City, Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.
I like to keep it simple and classic silver, black, and gold colors. Of course there are always balloons and backdrops!

Fancy Attire Optional
We party best in our pajamas! This is probably one of MY favorite parts of this! Although I do love to get dressed up, bringing in the New Year in comfy pajamas has become a favorite.
I will say- I do like to get the kids dressed up even if it’s just for a quick photo.
Karaoke
Our favorite Kids New Years Eve Party activity is singing karaoke! We bring out Zoey’s karaoke and sing our hearts out. If you don’t own a machine-don’t worry! You can find a ton of karaoke songs on YouTube!
Noisemakers & Gear
On that decoration run don’t forget the noisemakers and your New Year gear! Those New Year headbands and hats are always a must for us! Toss on a few necklaces and boom you’re ready!
This year I even found some cute disco ball cups to make us feel even more festive!

Party Snacks
Snacks are a must at all our celebrations. For our New Years Eve Party I will be creating a snack board with their favorite snacks as well as a dessert board.
Creating boards makes it easy for them to choose their foods as well as for me to set out once and be done. Pizza is usually on the dinner menu too! I’m all about ways to keep it simple and easy.
Vision Boards
I create a vision board for myself every year. This year I am going to create my board alongside my older two. The power of manifestation has been so important to me in the past few years I can’t wait to share that with them.
The best party is- creating these boards is a super inexpensive and fun activity. You can checkout my quick tips HERE.
After we are done we will hang them around our room!

Painting
Another fun activity is painting on New Years. We will be painting a portrait of our favorite memory of this past year. It was an extra challenging year and I find it so important to teach them gratitude with this fun activity.
Countdown on TV
We love to ring in the new year across the globe by following countdowns on TV. Every time midnight strikes we cheer, we hug, we say Happy New Year!
Enjoy this night with your little ones. Make it memorable and keep it simple. Happy New Year.
