Love is surely in the air. Valentine’s Day is literally around the corner, and since 1st one as a family, my husband and I decided to do things a little differently. Valentine’s Day is all about our kids. Each year we have a “Valentine’s Day Party” just for them.

We keep it simple but let them each choose a part of our menu. My favorite part is getting to set it all up and surprise them. They really are our greatest loves and want to celebrate our love for them on Valentine’s Day too.

Valentine’s Day Party For Your Kids

1.Decorate Your “Valentine’s Day Party”

Pick up some decorations at your local dollar store or Amazon, and get your place full of hearts and kisses. I found some super cute decorations I have stashed away to surprise them the day of with a ton of pink and red! All of this without hurting my bank account!

You can even grab some simple decorations in red, pinks, whites, etc.! Or- my favorite- MAKE SOME DECORATIONS like my Valentine’s Day DIY garland.

2.Plan Activities

Maybe pick a movie? Your movie doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day themed, just find a fun family movie or let them choose. We live for family movie nights and this is the perfect ending to our Valentine’s Day party each year.

Along with movie night we love to plan simple activities like baking together or picking up an inexpensive coloring book to work on together. All activities they love.

My new Cricut Explore Air 2 is such an upgrade from my old machine! There is so much I can create and started with some Valentine's Day Cards! #Cricut #ValentinesDayCards #ValentinesDay #DIY #Crafting #PaperCrafts #CricutExploreAir2 #CricutExploreAir #kidscrafts #easycrafts #craftingmom #cards #diycards
3.Get Them A Card

Yes, they will get tons of cards at school. BUT! I promise you they will love their card from you even more! There are tons of super cute cards with messages written especially for your kids.

Better yet, make them a card! It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just something meant just for them.

4.Eat Favorite Food

For dinner make their favorite food. Even if that means you are eating dino nuggets or pb&j for dinner. Remind them the menu is made especially for them! We like to take a bit of what each of the kids loves and make a family style spread.

5.Make Their Favorite Dessert

This night forget about the rules and just have some fun. Bake their favorite desserts or pick up some ice cream. Even if they don’t finish their dinner let them indulge this one night. They will always remember the fun they had.

My favorite part of our Valentine’s Day party is always their smiles. We keep it simple and keep it focused on them. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of our day to days the extra hugs and cuddles can slip through. I hope you all have a beautiful Valentine’s Day
